About Shawn
Shawn has always been very community oriented predominantly with activities and events for kids. In 2005, he started the Children’s Foundation Golf Tournament and is heavily involved in minor hockey on several different levels. Shawn selflessly spends countless hours to create better communities and actively promotes mental health awareness for adults and youth.
When he retired, the skills Shawn successfully used on the ice to manage fear were harder to apply in day to day life. He suffered through chronic pain and depression without support or coping strategies. Out of the ashes arose a passionate advocate for individuals with mental health issues and Fear Nothing Association of Ontario.
